What colour are you wearing today? What colour is your room or office? Are these colours harmonious or beneficial for you?
There is evidence of colour being used for therapy dating back thousands of years in the ancient cultures of Egypt, China and India. Colour affects us in many ways and can be used as a highly effective method of healing, raising our energy and bringing balance into our lives.
Use this daily exercise to bring colour therapy into your life and develop your intuition at the same time. The more you use your intuition the stronger it will become.
You can use this exercise to decide what colour to wear, what colour to paint a room, or you can use it as a visualisation tool.
- Start by taking a few deep breaths with the intention of tuning into your higher consciousness
- Next ask what colour is best for your highest good for the purpose you have in mind
You may have the name of a colour come straight to mind, you may see a colour. Perhaps you visualise a certain piece of clothing or maybe you can’t take your eyes of a certain jumper. Be open to the way you receive guidance, we are all different and receive information in different ways. Holding expectations can block your intuitive guidance from coming through.
We can be drawn to colours to match our mood but we can also use colour to alter our mood. Why wear greys and blacks because it is winter and white because it is summer??? It maybe beneficial to wear more yellow to boost your mood, or wear more red or orange to increase your energy.
A great tool for developing your visualisation skills, sensing energy and really feeling the power of colour therapy is to close your eyes and visualise that colour or just allow colours to come to you. See yourself surrounded by it, breathe it in, allow the colour to radiate out from every cell in your body so that you are bursting with colour. Don’t think, just feel.
Enjoy!
Lots of love
