The Reiki teaching method originates in Japan and is an ancient form of hands on healing that works holistically on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels. It is simple to learn and can bring great benefit to yourself, your family and friends, and after 2nd degree you may wish to offer it professionally. Reiki is not limited to people it can be used on anything as everything is energy. You can use it on animals, plants, crystals, and situations. It can even be used to send to the past or future.
Reiki is a spiritual path in itself. It brings transformation as it guides you on your own unique life plan. It will help connect you to your true nature.
To achieve this you need to heal or release all the parts of yourself, which are not deeply healed. Reiki can guide you through this process, supplying the needed understanding and healing on all levels.
“Dr Hayashi often explained to his students that Reiki detoxifies the body. For this he used a beautiful analogy, which his students called “The muddy stream”. He said that if you look at a stream, it looks clear and beautiful. But if you disturb the water (giving a Reiki treatment) the mud from the bottom comes up to the surface, making all the water appear dirty (healing- crisis, the toxins have entered the body’s liquids). If you then keep cleaning the water of the impurities that have come up (more Reiki), it becomes cleaner and cleaner until the whole stream is reborn… The client has come back to his natural equilibrium once more, as some of the muck sinks down to the bottom again.” ~ Frank Arjava Petter

First Degree
First Degree initiates your ability to channel Reiki. You will receive four attunements. The first one opens up your energy system, so that you can give Reiki. The fourth one seals it in for life. You will be taught the Reiki principles, how to give yourself a Reiki treatment, and how to give it to someone else. Once you receive your first Reiki initiation, you are a channel for the universal energy for life, even if you do not use it for years.
This two day workshop includes:
4 Attunements
Introduction to your energy system including information on auras and chakras
History of Reiki
The Reiki principles
Learn and practice a Reiki self treatment
Learn and practice treating others
Second Degree
Second Degree takes you to a deeper level of understanding of Reiki and teaches you how to work intuitively with Reiki using Eastern techniques rediscovered in Japan. You are given two further attunements to attune you to higher levels of Reiki energy. You learn and connect with ancient symbols to help you relax and heal your body and mind and to increase effectivity of the hand positions learnt within the first degree. You are taught how to give distant healing, and how to use Reiki as a psychological tool.
This two day workshop includes:

Learn and connect with ancient symbols
Learn and practice mental and emotional healing
Learn and practice distance healing
Scanning
Lots of practice
(A mixture of western and eastern techniques are included)
After learning Reiki 1st degree I recommend waiting at least 3-4 months before starting your 2nd degree. This time is to focus on healing yourself and gives enough time for the Reiki attunements to integrate into your system fully so that you are ready to take on these higher attunements.

Master Degree
Reiki Master Degree is the full training to become a Master/Teacher. Training usually takes several months.
Reiki Lineage
I am blessed to have a very short lineage. My teacher Charmian Winser was one of the first Reiki Masters in the UK, being initiated in 1987 and was a co-founder of The Reiki Association. The energy is beautiful, powerful and highly transformative.
